South Coast Proms

The South Coast Proms 2013 will take place on Whale Island, Portsmouth on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July 2013.

The South Coast Proms is an opportunity for the Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines to display their talent in a show encompassing a wide range of musical styles, state-of-the-art lighting, big screens and a spectacular firework finale: altogether a stunning programme of three hours of world class entertainment.

Audiences have the opportunity to relax and picnic in the grounds of HMS Excellent Whale Island, a historic and picturesque Royal Navy shore establishment. The gates open at 5:00 PM. Pre-concert entertainment takes place on stage from 5:30 PM with the Massed Bands performing from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The free Park and Ride and shuttle bus services from convenient locations start well before the show and close at approximately midnight.

All proceeds will go to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
